It’s that time of year again… *Cue the hundreds of girls running from bar to bar in identical cat outfits* This year we threw out our basic cat ears and took our Halloween looks to the next level – Not Kylie and Tyga next level, although we would’ve loved to have been invited to that Halloween dinner, but close enough!
This year we went the creative route, and decided to make up our faces like skeletons. Of course, we turned to Instagram to inspire the look.

In order to create that masterpiece on our own faces, we combined all of our makeup and Shir’s 400 untouched brushes (because she isn’t much of a makeup guru… thanks mom). Thankfully, Jamie is an artist and was able to replicate the inspo pic above almost perfectly, if not better!
Before adding the skeleton-like shadow, make sure to put on your usual foundation and concealer.
FIRST STEP
Jamie started out the look with the eyes. She slowly blended neutral, dark brown, and black eyeshadow to achieve the skeleton-like eye look. Shadows used were from the original NAKED palette and Kylie Cosmetics Bronze Palette. She then contoured the cheek, nose, and forehead with the same dark eyeshadow colors. To perfect the shading, she first blended out the dark eyeshadow with bronzer and a large bronzer brush and then added white eyeshadow and a shimmery highlight around the dark shadow.
SECOND STEP
Next, it was time for eyeliner! With Kat Von D’s liquid Tattoo Liner (a personal fave), she drew on cat eyeliner on the upper lid, false lashes below the eye, and skeleton-like teeth on either side of the lips. Then, with NARS Larger Than Life Long-Wear pencil Eyeliner, she drew a hollowed-out skeleton nose.
FINAL STEP
Your skeleton look is almost complete! Add additional highlight as needed and finish out the look with mascara and a dark lip! We used a Milani Color Statement Lipstick in Violet Volt with Kylie Cosmetics KING K Metal Lipstick on top.
Some fun clips of our night!! Downtown Gainesville isn’t anything like Paris, New York City, or Miami, but it’ll have to do for now- gotta love college.
