Workout in One Hour or Less

You’re swamped with a ton of school work, you have an exam worth 30% of your grade coming up, and your friend is coming to visit this weekend for the upcoming game day, which is a whole day wasted tailgating: the life of a college student. With all of that going on, you still want to look good and try to workout as much as you can; it’s a never-ending cycle. As two very busy college girls, we understand that there aren’t enough hours in the day and making time to go to the gym is nearly impossible. And at the University of Florida, going to the gym is a social scene, so there is one form of encouragement if you’re in a similar situation! A great quick workout for us includes cardio and a core/butt routine. Below are a few exercises we love to do either at home or at the gym to get your day going so that you feel great!

Quick Core/Body Routine:

We recommend doing this after 30 minutes of your preferred cardio exercise.

  • 30 crunches – If you’re at the gym grab a BOSU ball and try doing it on that for more of a challenge
  • 20 Russian twists – If you’re at the gym, remain on the BOSU ball and grab a medicine ball
  • 20 leg lifts
  • 20 jackknife crunches
  • 40 bicycle crunches
  • 15 jump squats
  • 10 squats

Do the whole set 2-3 times depending on how much time you have; it’ll be hard at first but after a few days it’ll become easier and you could increase the number of crunches or sets. Good luck & give us your feedback!
